How the foundation/association processes your personal data

Information according to the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679)

The personal data controller is the fund/association.

Personal data* that you supply when submitting this application, or any other personal data that is registered as part of the application process, is processed by the personal data controller for the purpose of assessing your entitlement to a grant or scholarship. Your personal data may also be processed in order for the foundation/association to fulfil its obligations in accordance with the law, other regulations or decisions by a statutory authority. This may include the processing of data in order to fulfil obligations under the Swedish Accounting Act or the Swedish Money Laundering Act, or for submitting reports to the Swedish Tax Agency, the Swedish Police, the Swedish Enforcement Authority, the Financial Supervisory Authority and other authorities.

To ensure proper file maintenance, personal data may be supplemented with data obtained from private and public registers, such as address updates via the Swedish Population Address Register Board (SPAR).

Personal data will be supplied for the purposes specified to Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB (publ), 502032-9081 ("SEB"), digiPlant AB 556303-5597, Boardeaser AB 556930-6664 and PE Accounting AB 556830-3324 to administrate the application process on behalf of the foundation/association.

The personal data will be stored as long as needed to fulfil the specified purposes, and to enable the fund/association to meet its legal obligations. If a grant is awarded, the personal data will be stored until the final payment has been issued, and thereafter for up to ten years. If a grant or scholarship is not awarded, the personal data will be stored for a maximum of three months.

You have a right to know which of your personal data are processed by the foundation/ association. This means you are entitled to:
a) request a copy of the personal data held about you,
b) request correction of incorrect or incomplete information,
c) request erasure or restriction of the processing of personal data,
d) object to processing of your data,
e) under certain circumstances, you have a right to retrieve the personal data that you have provided to the foundation/association and to have these data transferred directly to a different personal data controller, if this is technically feasible (data portability).

Your request and/or objection as per above will be assessed by the foundation/association on a case-specific basis. If you wish to order a copy of the personal data held about you or submit a request and/or an objection, please send a written and signed request to SEB Foundations & Philanthropy 106 40 Stockholm. Specify which foundation/association the request regards.

Consent to processing of sensitive personal data
If the personal data you provide in your application include sensitive personal data**, by signing the application form you consent to the personal data provided in your application being processed for the purposes specified above.

You have a right, at any time, to withdraw your consent to the processing of these sensitive personal data. If you withdraw consent, please note that the foundation/association shall no longer be legally entitled to process these personal data, meaning that the data can no longer be used as a basis for your application.

* Examples of personal data
Personal data is any information that refers to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Typical personal data is a person´s personal identity number, name, address but even encrypted data and various kinds of electronic identities for exampel IP addresses or recorded voice that could be linked to a living person.

**" Sensitive personal data" refers to data that reveals racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership and the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data regarding health, or data regarding a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation.
